We are not going to Beijing to represent the US. Our ultimate goal of winning the Paralympic Sailing Trials in October was not realized. Most people like goals because they can be understood and easily shared. People fixate on the goal when the benefits are in the journey. A goal is just a means to a journey.

The Paralympics. Where the world's best disabled athletes compete.

The term "Paralympic" was derived from the Greek word "para" and means "next to" or "alongside" the Olympic Games. Held every four years, the Paralympic Games directly follow the Summer Olympics and are held in the same venue. These games represent the best disabled athletes in the world.

Our Mission. A medal for the US.

Selected by US Sailing as one of the three leading teams to campaign in the two-person sailing event in the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing, Team Eagle’s goal is to bring home a medal for the US. While competing in the two-person sailing event, we will represent our country, sponsors and supporters with sportsmanship, honor and skill.
